May 2006: From Retro to 2.0

1. New Products: Retroshirts and Team Shirts
2. Shop of the Month: Amorphia Apparel
3. We won! Red Herring thinks we're hot
4. Web 2.0: The new wave?
5. Blogger of the Month: a big guy in a big city
6. Competition: Pop Culture

In early May, Spreadshirt CEO Lukasz Gadowski
walked off with a Red Herring award naming Spreadshirt
one of the 100 most innovative European companies.
By mid-May the Derby design competition is on its way,
awarding its first winner, and getting more and more
participants.

And as Spreadshirt moves towards more interactivity (blogs, the interactive design competition), we ask you whether you want more web 2.0 tools or not? And of course, new products, new partners and a quick competition.

Shop of the Month

Amorphia Apparel

The newest US export, Derby competitor, and favourite of Spreadshirt CEOs, this month's shop of the month is Amorphia Apparel.

From designer and photographer Jeremy Kalgreen, the designs are clean, clear, clever and wicked. They have that certain "humour noir". Watch out.

Web 2.0

The new wave?

This month's survey asks you what you think of social bookmarking? Recently, the del.icio.us icon was added so you and your customers can add Spreadshirt products to your del.icio.us list. It?s part of social shopping, which is written about on wikipedia and a bit in our blog.

The questions are if you like this current function, if you want more or less of social bookmarking integration. To go to the survey, click here.

Blogger of the Month

A big guy in a big city

The musings and thoughts of an internet enthusiast, flickr devotee (myspace too), and great designer. Living in London, post range from insider news, to recipes, to travel and technology.

A sample excerpt: "I have in fact just drunk quite a lot of wine with my Housemates (yes, I tried to deny it in a earlier post, but I do have an alcohol problem. Two hands & only one mouth? Boom Tish!)". It has a lot of charm.

Read the blog.

Competition

Pop Culture

The new Missy Elliot single "We Run This" samples a really, really catchy song. What's the original, and who wrote it? First three right answers get something exciting. Send them over to: winner@spreadshirt.net.

Till next time,
